Joanna Kado is a Vancouver based Registered Interior Designer with a primary focus on hospitality design. She is currently part of the design team at Earls Restaurant + Bar, where she works on large scale restaurant projects across North America, working from early concept through to execution.

Alongside her role at Earls, Joanna maintains Kado Design, a small independent practice where she selectively takes on residential and hospitality projects. This balance allows her to explore more personal, hands on work while continuing to design within the complexity and scale of a national hospitality brand.

Joanna’s design approach is intentional and layered, shaped by inspiration from her travels and the belief that spaces should reflect its demographic, individuality and purpose. Her work is eclectic and detail driven, often incorporating subtle moments of surprise that elevate the overall experience without overwhelming it.
